Lots of Gas Activity by reastick

Welcome to Scrambles and Summits.

July 1, 2010: We have moved to a new host. Hopefully the site will be much more stable and available than it has been recently.

This is a place where you can find information about mountains and how to get up them. You can also share your mountain adventures with others, and read about the adventures of other intrepid peakbaggers.

This website is geared toward scramblers, a class of people who find adventure in getting off the beaten track and seeing the view from the top. That is not to say that others won't find something for them here. So long as you get yourself to the top of a summit of some sort, feel free to share details about the route and how you got yourself there.

You are free to see almost all information on this site without an account. If, however, you want to share your experiences you must have an account and be logged in. It is free, and we promise not to share your personal details with others.

You may create an account by clicking here, or if you already have an account you can log in using the panel on the left.

Thanks for stopping by, and enjoy your stay!

A solo outing with the new Garmin 62s and the old 60Cx which I've been using faithfully to record summit coordinates for some time now. Which will prove more accurate? More precise? Stay tuned.

Another evening ascent, this time with cousin Brenna visiting from Ontario. Met a young guy pushing his bike up to the summit. He said it takes him 10 minutes to get down.

Sunday, July 31, 2011   The Trail on Prairie Mountain   (Posted by reastick)
A quick run up as I had just about run out of July. A warm morning, but a wind started up on the way down so maybe others weren't getting sweat in their eyes like I was. After completing the Glasgow-Banded Traverse last week, I could no longer hear the ...
